Life Skills for Life is an exciting initiative proudly supported by the Fogarty Foundation. The program is an interactive 2 hour program designed to teach school children resuscitation and basic first aid.

"I thoroughly recommend every school take up this opportunity for their year seven students, and let them complete the Life Skills for Life course, who knows how many lives it could save?"

As of May 2009 the Life Skills for Life program had reached in excess of 11,000 Year 7 students across Western Australia.

With proud support from the Fogarty Foundation, this program coordinated by Surf Life Saving WA is delivering important first aid and resuscitation skills to students from both metropolitan and country areas. Assistance from the Catholic Education Office allows delivery of this program to all Catholic schools at a consistent price regardless of the school’s location, making the opportunity accessible to all.

All students partaking in this valuable first aid training will receive a Surf Life Saving WA Life Skills for Life certificate.

The Fogarty Foundation

The Fogarty Foundation was established in May 2000 by Brett and Annie Fogarty. The aim was to establish a fund that would benefit our direct community through encouraging endeavours in excellence through education, the community and in life.

The Fogarty Foundation encourages people to aim for excellence and supports them in their endeavours to achieve their potential. By funding programs that promote knowledge and ideas the Foundation creates opportunities for people to achieve their goals.
