To be eligible for this scholarship members should note that the minimum age is 21 and candidates must have a current Bronze Medallion, possess strong leadership and communication qualities and are prepared to commit to  the responsibilities of the scholarship for 12 months.

The Sir Adrian Curlewis Scholarship is a personal development program aimed at providing young leaders of surf lifesaving with the tools to assist in the development of their own inter and intra personal skills. The scholarship commences with a four day introductory program held in Sydney with all state representatives and Surf Life Saving Australia staff.

Following this introduction, scholars undergo a formal learning program where they experience ongoing contact with specified mentors, Surf Life Saving Australia and their respective State Centres.Each scholar works on a project that has an outcome that can assist a club or a state centre to provide ongoing services to the community.
