Our junior program offers members aged 12 a fun and interactive environment at the beach. Children in this age group will be assessed on their ability to swim 150 meters freestyle and float for 3 minutes before participating in any water based activities at any club. Children are encouraged to participate in all activities to give themselves the opportunity to develop and improve their skills.
 

Children in this age group are given the option to compete in carnivals in a wide range of events. To be eligible to compete in any water based events in any carnival, children will need to complete a competition swim course of no less than 288 meters in less than 10 minutes.

Children in this age group will take part in an education program called Surf Smart Two and those who complete this award will receive a certificate at the end of the season. Children also have the opportunity to work towards gaining their Basic Emergency Care award which includes the Resuscitation Certificate.
